Overview

The NEC Outreach Program has been designed to ensure that new technologies and best practices are disseminated into the workplace. This is accomplished by increasing researcher/trainer interactions in worker environments, using evidence-based training programs, improving these programs to the greatest extent possible, providing occupational health screening services that may otherwise not be available to workers and increasing worker awareness of NEC services and work hazards.

NEC outreach efforts include:

  • face-to-face, hands-on training
  • demonstrations at agricultural, forestry, and fishing community events
  • utilization of collaborator skillsets
  • community connections and information dissemination
